  • Beschreibung: Commercial made in connection with Stockholm’s 700th anniversary celebrations. The film begins with an image of actress Signe Hasso in the Sandrews film studio. Hasso’s job is to introduce Skansen, Stockholm’s open-air museum, to the international audience. She describes it as a combination of outdoor museum and zoo, where traditions from different parts of Sweden and different eras are shown to visitors via original buildings that have been moved to Skansen whole. The film cuts from an establishing shot of Stockholm filmed from the hills at Skansen and accompanied by Hasso’s voice-over, and then an image of the actress out amongst greenery. We then see Hasso walking around visiting the open-air museum’s attractions including rune stones, animals and historical residences of various kinds, where visitors learn about history through house facades and interiors via furniture, toys, arts and crafts, local costumes, music and dance traditions, and different kinds of trade.
