  • Description: This film shows the conditions of some villages in Lucania and Campania where men have no choice but to emigrate. Most of them head to America and in particular to Venezuela. In Caracas they are called musiù, which in Venezuelan Spanish means white foreigner from non-Hispanic countries. They wish to return to Italy, the country where they were born. Those who do manage to make this dream come true usually build a new house by the sea and try to make their towns more beautiful and welcoming by building new streets, cinemas, churches and monuments, whose names recall Venezuela.
