  • Beskrivelse: This private black-and-white footage by the Dresden ENT physician Gerhard Schneider documents a summer vacation on the island of Rügen. It was possibly shot between 1931 and 1937, as one scene may refer to the construction of the Rügen Dam, which was built during this period. The film shows classic motifs, such as the Königstuhl, Wissower Klinken, fishing boats as well as fishermen with their nets and scenes on the beach. However, rural life in the hinterland is also described.
    This film was digitized as part of the model project "Sicherung des audiovisuellen Erbes in Sachsen" (Securing Audiovisual Heritage in Saxony) of the Film Association of Saxony (2018) in cooperation with: Hirsch Film Filmproduktion, Sächsische Landesbibliothek - Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek, funded by: Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art.
