  • Popis: In eastern Macedonia the Bulgarians take over Greek territory conquered by the Germans. Bulgarian Major Anton Paiko (Stefanos Stratigos) is appointed governor of the very region he was in charge of destroying in 1918 soon before he withdrew. He secretly arrests Grigoris (Christos Politis) and replaces him with his twin brother Ivan Simeonoff, whom the Bulgarians had abducted from Greece and raised as their own. The “impersonator” manages to fool the villagers but not his brother’s fiancée (Vera Krouska). Germany loses the war, and the Bulgarians are forced to withdraw once again, after which the two brothers meet and confront each other, resulting in the death of Ivan.
